Background Check Requirement
Effective March 4, 2021, background checks are required for all renters at the time of lease signing and prior to move in. Residents who signed a lease prior to March 4, 2021are required to complete a background upon or prior to their next lease renewal. At this time, background checks are a one-time event. Rental Owner Requirements
Rental Property Owners
Pasco County Ordinance 20-03 establishes a rental record requiring property owners and/or their property managers to register their rental homes with the Pasco County Sherrif's Office. The registry covers both vacant and renatal properties. Rental units must be registered by property owners. To register, click https://citizen.pascosheriff.com.
